The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has launched a new programme called “Online Teaching Laboratories.” Students from other academic institutions have been able to use many of the state-of-the-art laboratories made available through this programme. This programme is open to any organisation that wishes to participate. The experiments have been planned in such a way that they will cover the majority of the topics covered on university curricula. The labs in this programme are conducted online, with real-time demonstrations of the experiments taking place throughout. The labs are interactive, allowing students to ask questions and clarify their understanding. This allows students to participate in various stages of experimental learning, such as conceptualization and experimentation, followed by reflection, analysis, and interpretation of data, as well as other activities. Students gain hands-on experience with course concepts in laboratory classes, as well as the opportunity to learn about methods used by practitioners in their respective fields, through participation in these sessions. Following the successful completion of the laboratory sessions, the students will receive an electronic certificate of completion.
